Special Person of the Week
This last week I was special. At the school where I work, the 1st grade class asks members of the staff and administration to be a "Special Person of the Week." This last week it was my turn. I look forward to these visits with great anticipation because as an administrator, I don't always get a chance to interact with the students as much as I'd like.
In previous years, I've shared my marathon finisher medals and read books. This year I decided to share some technology with them (an old motherboard), along with books, and some paper animals that Liem and I made the weekend before.
It was great. Besides the sharing, they get a chance to barrage me with questions... "What's your favorite this, that, or the other?"
What's really special is being a part of their lives at school.
