Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?

To install a 4" telecommunications conduit.  

After over a year of planning, organizing and stressfully working with our local municipality's permit process, we finally gained official approval to cross the street between our campuses and establish a new data and telecommunications artery for the school.  This new line will allow the school to proceed with future construction and remain operational throughout the entire process.  Today, for the first time in over a year I feel like my plans are finally coming together.  

My entire tech team and our cabling vendors have worked at a feverish pace over the last year to relocate, shore up, and re-establish our entire network infrastructure.  It was over two years ago that I realized that future construction plans would impact the network and telecommunications in a huge way.  I am grateful for the commitment and dedication of everyone involved.

Crossing this street was literally the most important 50 ft. of the entire network project thus far.
